Vroni's Photo Diary
The other day I was walking home through the fields with my friend Resi when Bene from the next village joined us. We chatted away, and I think he rather liked Resi. At least he ignored her which is always a good sign.

We parted our ways and Bene became thoughtful. He was wondering whether to give his heart to Resi. He was wondering how he could win her heart. And her affections. Particularly those.

He decided to visit her soon, as he would never be better prepared anyway. And he knew she was likely to fall for his charms as he would even talk to her. He decided to visit that night.
That afternoon I was happily playing the accordion in a field when a thought came to me.
I decided to look for Resi to chat to her about Bene. I found Resi in a field. She was picking flowers and looked up in surprise when I called out to her.

We had a short chat and 5 hours later came to the conclusion that we should wait and see. No matter what would happen, we could always meet up tomorrow and chat about it for another 5 hours. We like to wear our best dirndl dresses for chatting as you never know who might walk by in the field.

Resi and I went home to wait what would happen. I slept all night. But at Resi's parents little house a knocking could be heard.

Resi was dreaming about being chased in a field by Bene when she suddenly awoke.
She got up and sleepily opened her window. She had quickly dressed in her dirndl in order to be decent. She looked out dreamily.
She suddenly noticed that a ladder was put up at her window, and that Bene was climbing up. She exclaimed: "Hello Bene! How are you?"
Bene had brought a flower expecially for his fancy maiden, and presented her with it. He said: "Hello Resi, let me in please"

Resi was so impressed with the lovely mountain flower that she wanted to yodel. But instead she said: "No, sorry"
Bene exclaimed: "But why not?"

Resi explained that she already had a visitor and asked him to come back another time. Bene tried to hide his disappointment and didn't ask her to give back the flower. Damn, he could have used that for another maiden up the road.
The next morning I got up early and played my accordion in the field...

... when I noticed Resi and Bene walking nearby. They had made up and agreed to join me for a song and a yodel.

We were so happy that day. I just love my Bavarian friends!
